About Balikpinoy

Balikpinoy, Inc., is a newly-established social enterprise that aims to promote nationalism and love for the Philippines among Filipinos who are currently living abroad. Balikpinoy was founded and is headed by Harvey S. Keh.
 
Harvey S. Keh, 29, is a Social Entrepreneur, Media Practitioner and Teacher. As a Social Entrepreneur, he has helped establish two non-profit organizations focused in public education reform namely, Pathways to Higher Education-Philippines and the Acts of Hope for the Nation (AHON) Foundation. Currently, he continues to serve as President of AHON Foundation which helps build public elementary school libraries and has helped more than 50,000 students learn how to read. As a Media Practitioner, he is a regular blogger for Inquirer.net, the Philippines' leading news and public affairs website, a regular contributor at The Manila Bulletin, one of the Philippines' leading newspapers and he also hosts a weekly radio program over Radio Veritas 846, the Catholic radio station in the Philippines. As a Teacher, he continues to serve as Director for Youth Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship at the Ateneo de Manila University-School of Government while continuing to teach Theology at the Ateneo de Manila University-Loyola Schools.
 
Harvey is also one of the inaugural fellows at the Asian Institute of Management's (AIM) Team Energy Center for Bridging Societal Divides and was also chosen as one of the 20 Young Leaders of Asia by the Asia Society, a New York-based international non-profit organization that aims to foster better understanding between the people of the United States of America (USA) and Asia.
